Dear Karen Your music lifted me to places so high and far away from my own disasters in life. I am sorry you did not find someone who could change life's perspective for you in the same way. Today, we are more aware of the disease you suffered, and while not enuf is being done by the media and adveritisers and fashion and music industry to stop this generation to generation disease, it has saevd at least one close firend of mine and for this i am grateful. Fly. Sheila

Thanks for the web site! If I was forced to choose one singer to listen to the rest of my life it would be Karen. I never tire of hearing her rich voice. I'm 36 and have always loved her music. I only wish I could have heard her perform live. It is a tragedy she died at such a young age. I can only imagine the many wonderful songs she would have recorded.

Our family has always been huge fans of The Carpenters. We have every record, and now most of the CD's that have been coming out. Karen Carpenter's legacy will always live on as long as we are around. She has the best singing voice of any singer we've ever heard. Karen had only just begun, but her life was taken away. We are just grateful to have as many of their songs as we do. And we will continue to listen to them every day. Thank you, Richard and Karen, for giving us your beautiful music.

I grew up listening to my mother's records of the Carpenter's. Karen had such an outstanding personality. Her voice was simply angelic. I cannot think of a better singer. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. I wish she could have stayed with us longer. She is a huge rolemodel in my life. I am grateful that she was discovered. Her voice will withstand and outlast any other voice throughout time. May God bless her and may she always be at peace. Heaven has it's "lead singer" now!

Hello. I am 15 years old. We are studying Karan Carpenter in school and her story is such a tragedy. I'm sorry for everything, she was such a wonderful person. Eventhough I'm too young to remember her, she was such a wonderful person and touched so many lives. May her spirit be with everyone forever.

Yesterday was 20 yrs. ago we lost Karen to the devastating disease that is anorexia. Her music is timeless. I remember singing to her LP's when I was a teenager. We were lucky to have known her beautiful voice. I still miss her. Taken from us too soon.

Karen is an unforgetable presence. There are sounds of her voice that go far beyond music, and into the realm of intimate emotion. I always find it very sad to listen to her voice. It is unthinkable that she might have died without knowing her extraordinary value and contribution to so many lives.

I think that Karen Carpenter is and alway's will be the best singer in the whole world.Because nobody can sing like her and nobody will ever be able to sing like her because she had a gift a rare gift that many recording artists don't have. And god gave her that gift and realized that it and she was to presious to have gone through what she had gone through in her life. And god finnaly said "it's time to stop hurting, come home and rest " and that's what she's doing. And eventhough she's not with us anymore her memory still lives on through her millions of fans who worshiped her and her brother .And there will never be another Karen Carpenter we may find people who look exactly like her but it's not really Karen and it will never be again.

I am 49 years old and a native of her home town, New Haven. I moved to South Florida in 1982 at the age of 29. I never gave Karen a thought. Last week I saw a video on her life. What a shame she had to go. I love her. Her voice is gold, and she was, and is gold. I wish I had a chance to rescue you.

Your music and truly beautiful voice was made a part of my life by my mother. Even now in my early 20s I listen and take into my heart the astonishing uniqueness and angelic voice that I have loved the moment I heard your voice. May you rest in peace and know that you were very loved and cherished in this world all over and always will be.

I love Karen Anne Carpenter! I became a fan at the age of 14. I am now 25 and still love the Carpenter's music. What I would have done to meet Karen? Anything in my power. I have every collection possible of her and Richard. I have pictures of her gravesite. I hope that Richard reads these and knows just how much she is missed by her fans and how much I would love to meet him to make my life complete. That would be an honor and a dream come true. I love you Karen and always will. Your biggest fan, Connie "Your on top of my world!" xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

I have been a fan of the Carpenters for many years now. I have flown to Cali. to visit Karen's gravesite. I adore the music of the Carpenters and one day hope to meet Richard. Everyone that I encounter that does not know of the Carpenter's music I make sure they know that it exists and help them to understand the beauty behind the voice. I love them and will always treasure the sounds that they left behind. Connie
